3 words

While watching the movie, Eat, Pray, Love three words came to mind, in regards to myself: Married Midwest Mother. That's me. And I love my life. I have a husband who I would describe as my platform. Eric is a really really great guy. Seriously. Being a Facebook junkie I see so many people post about their great hubbies. Some of them I see regularly in person and in reality they complain about their hubbies. I don't have a lot to complain about with Eric. No he's NOT perfect. OK he is WAY more social than I am which means I go to dinner parties that really I don't want to go to. Most of the time I have a good time though. Eric doesn't complete me, it's not that cheesy kind of romance, he gives me lots of room to be myself and holds me accountable to remain grounded and sound. He tries to create the financial stability for me to stay at home with our daughter and continue to pursue my professional dream of being self employed. I like introducing my hubby to everyone I know, he has this essence about him that just draws most people to him. It has been pointed out to me, like I didn't know, that he's a flirt. Yep he flirt with every female we cross paths with. The amazing thing is, he still flirts with me!

I was born in Missouri. I am living here still. I did live in London, England for a very short time, and in Atlanta, Georgia fora slightly longer time. I have traveled from Hawaii to Muscat, Oman. Beaches leave me breathless. I want to retire close to one, like some crazy amazing place like Tahiti. However right now I am in exactly the right geographic place for me to be in. There are defines seasons here. I get to enjoy it all, spring flowers, hot lazy summer days, the changing colors of the leaves in fall, and the quiet of a snow covered yard in winter. It's also very helpful that it's a bit cheaper to have a horse in the Midwest than other places.

Motherhood was not my first choice in life. I did eventually hear the biological clock ticking and obviously I have a really great daughter, who sometimes reads a book upside down while sitting in a box. I recently read the follow up to Eat, Pray, Love: Committed. I like this book as well, though it is very different than the first. Recently I have not been as busy as I had hoped in my private practice. Also I have not been needed as much at my per diem job. This had begun to concern me. I have been professionally focused basically most of my life. Now what I have to focus on is my life, my loves...and this too is exactly where I'm supposed to be. And yes I'm soooo OK with this. In fact I am noticing my creative side is coming out again. I'm getting into glass fusing, back into cooking, and I'm thinking a book might be in order...Plus getting to wake up and have my daughter say I love you Mom, taking a nap in the afternoon and waking up to hear my daughter say I love you Mom...not a bad way to spend your day?!
