Flip of the coin

Recently I had the great fortune to work with a young woman from Europe (thankfully she spoke English very well) who was visiting family here in the USA.  Because of her limited time here we did like a two day marathon session to clear any and all traumas possible.
Anyways...this post isn't actually about her it's about some small piece of something we talked about.  So let me get to my point then...
As we go through life people are likely to tell us their opinions about us.  These opinions may come from family, teachers, fellow students, friends, employers, etc.  Sometimes those comments are positive and uplifting.  Sometimes they are not.  For example you could be told by your step-dad that you are stubborn, out of control, and disrespectful.  Well that's one way to see that person.  I see someone who is determined, independent, and strong.
People's opinions of us are just that- THEIR opinion of us.  And their opinion is based upon their own life and their own baggage.
But there's always the flip side to anything.  Where one person sees a "bi#*h" someone else might see an assertive woman.
If you have someone else's unhelpful opinion of you rattling around in your head, that tape recording can be recorded over with something new and uplifting.  So why not just give me a call and let's get to re-recording?
Be well, Be happy-
