What is a Big BANG outcome? Well that after a session, two, or three with me that life takes a dramatic turn, happiness and joy fill everything and well Big Bang. The reality is though is that RRT is subtle. Yes I know that for many of my clients years of their life have been filtered with unwanted emotions, behaviors, and thoughts. And yes when clients walk out of my office those are erased. What's left though is a quiet peace and sense of joy. Note though it's quite. I do not have the ability to change people's minds from anxiety and anger to hyper-happiness. (Nor if I did do I think I'd want to do that to anyone! Have you been around a hyperactive kid on sugar before?)
When I say subtle this is how it plays out: People around you begin to notice something is different about you, they might even think it's your hair or clothing. They soon begin to notice that your reactions are different, they start to gravitate towards you. Eventually you experience a situation and afterwards you look back and say something like "Wow I handled that differently than I used to. I'm absolutely positive I did it the best I could and am grateful for how I handled it. Hmmm...odd but cool." Or a situation may arise and as your looking at it trying to figure out how to handle it you are presented two options, 1) a reaction that you instantly know is going to go a way you're likely not going to be happy about or 2) a way to be proactive about it that seems much more logical and effective and you act upon option #2.
I recently noted to a client that it's like going from a major, adrenaline inducing roller coaster to the kiddie coaster. The emotional highs and lows level off, there's still ups and downs but they are majorly minimized by frequency, intensity, and length.
As a client of RRT myself I much prefer my kiddie coaster. I didn't have a Big Bang experience with RRT but when a situation arose that normally would have turned my brain into an angry bear I literally started laughing because I had NO emotional reaction to the situation and it just struck me as funny. (Please note I find so many things funny it's almost not funny)
And the best part of RRT is even after a session, two, or three with me this stuff keeps working. It's like in a session we turn a facet on and it can no longer be turned off.
