When something is complicated, say like a car, it is prone to everyday glitches so when you buy a new car you are told to come back in 6 months to get a "tune up." What also can happen is you may have a car accident, something slams into your car, and in an instant you need your car repaired. Aside from everyday glitches the human mind can also have something slam into it- trauma. There's what I call Big T trauma like gang rape. But there's also Little T trauma like a teacher telling a student to spit their gum out. Now in reading this that doesn't seem like a trauma, but to some child that might be humiliating and shame-filled thus causing on going difficulties that effect him through out his life. So both types of trauma leave an impression on the mind.
Part of my job as an RRT therapist is to clear up that impression and create, what computer guys may call for computer glitches, patches so that the mind is optimized and seeking what is possible and beneficial for that person. It's an amazing thing to watch someone go from being stuck due to some trauma to then be able to see that from a whole new perspective and be able to have clarity on their current situations. It's wonderful to hear from my clients how differently they approach challenges in their life. In fact recently a client told me that a challenge came up in work and she was able to have some space between what she felt and how she decided to respond. Enough space she was able to see how she used to react and make a very clear decision on how to respond in that moment.
Rapid Resolution Therapy is an effective treatment for many emotional concerns: anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, grief, abuse, the list goes on and on...I'm excited to help everyone I can!
