A-ha moment
So as I have said before I have an addiction to books on my MP3 player. Thus I am listening to yet another book. (I promise I will give it time in it's own blog later) However in just a short moment I had an A-Ha moment. I believe whole heartedly that the tape inside our head greatly impacts our responses to situations. I work on my tape on a regular basis. I assist counseling and coaching clients in doing the same. Th A-Ha moment was how the author changed my perspective of that tape. She stated that everything we do creates habit. It is through habituation that we become negative, positive, have addictions, etc. Thus each time we are mean to someone we move further into the personality of meanness. Each time we say something negative to ourselves we create a habit of low self-esteem. For me this translates into: addiction. Addiction to having low self-esteem, addiction to being aggressive, addiction to drugs or alcohol. Just plain addiction. Just this small idea has made me realize, even more so, how powerful, our thoughts are. How aware we need to be of them. It brings up an even stronger desire to break that old tape inside my head. What addictions do you need to break?

Wow! This was really deep! What a great perspective on how we manifest habitual behavior! Way to go, Coach!
