Fireproof
Ella and I were driving home from The Little Gym, Thursday, and I read a sign on a local church "Fireproof your marriage." Interesting. Later Ella went to sleep at a time that allowed me to watch the last half of Dr. Phil, the topic: Fireproof your marriage. He had Kirk Cameron on who starred in the movie "Fireproof." Interesting. What was basically said was people need to respect their marriage and create a mindset that it is a commitment versus a piece of paper. Now I know there are marriages that sometimes need to end such as abuse, addiction, and others. I also know marriage isn't for everyone and that's OK. I know for myself that "piece of paper" has made a dramatic difference in my relationship with my husband. Divorce rates in the USA are at like 50%. That's so high. Fireproof your marriage? Well I liked the fact that one of the guests, a retired firefighter, now a pastor, stated that with firefighting it's two men in, tow men out. He encouraged married couples to use that idea for their marriage. Marriage is hard. It takes a lot of work and energy. It takes collaborating with another individual who has their own ideas. I intend to stay married to my wonderful husband. I intend to grow individually as well as a couple with him. I intend to love him till what ever the next phase is from here. I intend to have a "two men in two men out" marriage. What's your intention for your marriage?

This is great! I have all of the same intentions for my marriage as well and ours has been hard. When you have a dual-entrepreneur household, you learn new meanings for the words faith and trust as well as "for better or worse". For all of our ups and downs over the past 13 years (married for 8 of those years), I wouldnt trade my time with him for anything!
I just got back from watching Fireproof... it was great to see such a different-flavored movie on the regular, big screen
